In April 1893, Satie produced "Vexations", a piece which begins with a period of silent meditation before being repeated 840 times. It was never published.

In New York on the 9th of September 1963, John Cage, together with David Tudor, Lewis Lloyd, Christian Wolff and others performed the piece for the first time. It lasted over 18 hours.

In 1969, composer and comrade of John Cage, Alvin Lucier, created the piece "I'm sitting in a room" which investigated acoustic phenomena and audition perception by exploring the resonance of his own voice in a room until it transformed completely into a drone. A meditation drone.

This is my homage to Alvin Lucier and Erik Satie.
